Fantastic!  My personal favorite structure is a tension structure,
actually a simple one -- the radial tent.  But, you've got to fit the
structure to the site, too.  That's why some houses (rectilinear,
dome, tension tent, etc) look like they landed from outer space.

I've got a few ideas of where to put one, if I can figure out how
to generate patterns.

Seriously, I've got an itch about this "generic Mexican shelter"
thing...I'm going to have to try patterning, myself.
